The strict UNI EN ISO 16000-9:2006 tests have demonstrated that Microtopping does not emit any Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), awarding it an A+ rating, that is, the maximum possible. An air quality test was carried out at the Istituto Giordano of Bellaria-Igea Marina with the so-called “Emissions chamber testing” method. After inserting the sample in the chamber for 28 days, the air samples were collected in Markes absorbent vials (Carbopack C 60/80, Carbopack B 60/80, Carbosieve SIII 60/80) for the VOC analysis in Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectometry and in Silica Gel + 2.4 Dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) for the analyses of aldehydes in High-performance liquid chromatography-UV tests.
